Ride the Distance, Share the Load

Veteran Bikepacking Journeys

This is not a race.
This is not a test.
This is a journey on two wheels, through open country, with people who understand.

We’re organizing multi-day veteran bikepacking outings focused on camaraderie, conversation, and accomplishing something meaningful together. We ride steady. We stop for views. We talk when it matters. We sit quietly when it doesn’t.

No one gets left behind. These are a no-drop (within reason) ride.

What This Is

A no-drop, multi-day bikepacking ride for veterans of all eras.

  • 35–50 miles per day. (Split into morning and afternoon with a stop for lunch).

  • Multi-day routes (minimum 2 days, up to 7 days).

  • Camping some nights, hotels other nights.

  • Veterans can join or exit anywhere along the route, you don’t need to ride the full length, you can join for a leg or even for an afternoon.

  • Focused on journey, connection, and shared effort.

This is about showing up, moving forward, and doing something hard, but doable, together.

What This Is NOT

  • ❌ A race

  • ❌ A performance event

  • ❌ A suffer-fest

  • ❌ A competition

If you’re looking to hammer miles or chase pace, this isn’t that ride. This isn’t meant to mimic a selection, or be about misery.

If you’re looking for steady effort, honest conversation, and the satisfaction of finishing something together, you’re in the right place.

How We Ride

  • No-drop pace — we ride as a group with a group leader and a tail lead.

  • Planned stops for views, food, water, and conversation. This is about the journey more than the task being accomplished.

  • Supportive culture — ride your ride, carry what you can. Cross load if needed.

  • Flexibility built in — jump in or out based on your schedule and capacity.

The goal isn’t speed. The goal is progress, presence, connection, and completion.

Why We Ride

Because veterans thrive on:

  • Shared hardship

  • Purposeful movement

  • Quiet time in open spaces

  • Camaraderie without explanation

This ride creates space to:

  • Reconnect with your body

  • Reconnect with others

  • Accomplish something real

  • Remember you’re not carrying life alone

  • Enjoy the small things

Sometimes the best conversations happen between pedal strokes.

Who This Is For

  • Veterans of any branch or era.

  • Riders with basic cycling fitness (able to ride 35+ miles/day at a conversational pace).

  • Those open to camping, simple living, and shared experience.

  • Anyone who values the journey as much as the destination.

You don’t need to be an elite cyclist. You just need to be willing to ride.
